Brand Ambassador Spotlight: Rachel English

We love our ambassador network! That’s why we like to showcase them and show them some appreciation. Rachel is a self-proclaimed extrovert based at the University of Salford.

What societies are you part of?

I am a part of the Almost Famous musical theatre society. It’s a society that focuses on people passionate about singing, dancing and acting…..triple threat!

What is your favourite thing about being a brand ambassador?

I am an extrovert hence why becoming a brand ambassador suited me so well. Everyone has a different story, everyone comes from different places and everyone is passionate about something different…all in one place, it’s incredible!

I love the interaction with different students! It gives me the opportunity to get to know so many different people and create a rapport with different societies.

How have you found working for Hype so far?

I have loved working for Hype. They are constantly there to offer me support and advice. They can answer any questions you might have and everything is explained so you never feel like you’re really on your own when working!

The team is small and this is great because I know everyone by name and have been in contact whether in person or phone call.

What sort of thing have you been doing?

I have been generating interest in Hype’s upcoming competition ‘The Uni’s’ . It’s very straight forward; I have attended the society and sport fairs, handing out flyers and chatting to different people from the societies and sports groups about the competition. I have also done some work on social media, messaging societies and letting my own friends know on my own social media.

Any tips for newbie ambassadors?

As cliche as it is, be yourself! Hype have hired you for a reason so make sure to be the best version of yourself.

Radiate positivity! If you want people to approach you, smile and have plenty of knowledge so you can confidently answer any questions people might have.

What is your dream brand to work with?

I would love to work a clothing brand! I love fashion and interior design so co-ordinating outfits and spaces is something I have great interest in. I also adore singing and dancing so Spotify or YouTube would be something else I would absolutely love to get experience in!
