What is The UNIS?

The UNIs is a nationwide competition to search for the best university society. We are looking for the university sports team or society that best supports the ambitions of its members.

What kind of societies and teams are eligible?

The answer is all!

We welcome a range of different types of societies and sports teams. Categories include:

• Sports teams
• Causes
• International/cultural
• Careers
• Student Media
• Academic
• STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths)
• Other interests

How do I win?

There are three stages to the competition.

Phase 1: REGISTRATION:

This is your time to register your society at theUNIs.co.uk. Simply fill in your name, contact info, university and 250 words about how your society supports its members. Then submit a photo that best represents your society doing what it does best! This photo will go on your voting page which you’ll need to promote to win the competition.

Phase 2: VOTING: 16th October – 30th October 2018

This is the time you’ll have to promote your Facebook page and get as many votes as possible. Go crazy and share this around all your mates, members, family and those who know and love your society.

The society with the most votes in each category wins the category prize – to be announced on our social media over the coming weeks.  Make sure you’re following us on our social handles so you get the first peak when we reveal the prizes!

Phase 3: PANEL : February 2019

The final stage involves presenting your pitch to a panel of industry experts and sponsors – Dragon’s Den style!

Your job is to convince them that your society best promotes its members and their ambitions. The overall winner of the pitch stage will win the £5k.

What do I win?

The first prize is £5000 and access to exclusive mentors provided by the Co-Op. Keep an eye on our social media handles for the prize reveals.

Each category winner (for example, sports teams, causes etc) will have other prizes provided by category partners. Our exclusive prizes are going to be announced over the coming weeks.
