Last year was one of the toughest years students have ever had to face, and trying to get work experience has certainly been a challenge for a lot of people. So, we’re still bringing you the best opportunities we can find, every week, all in one place.

As usual, if you can’t find any good opportunities for you this week, we’ve got more coming in next week’s scoop.

MARKETING INTERNSHIP PLACEMENT – DISNEY

Disney are on the lookout for people to join their 12 month internship for 2021. You’ll be paid £21,000 and based in London. You’ll also get to work with one of the biggest companies in the world, which is a perfect opportunity for people who want to work in an extremely rewarding, yet fast-paced environment. As their marketing intern, you’ll be involved with a wide range of campaigns, to boost the publicity of upcoming releases. This is an opportunity for students doing a placement year in industry and you must be studying a degree that’s relevant to marketing. JUNIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER – ITS

If you’re looking to enter the world of graphic design, this entry level position is for you. ITS are a company that offer power tools, and other building materials. As part of the marketing team, you’ll be responsible for creating the graphics across their website, emails and branding. It’s essential that you’re driven and enthusiastic about design, and that you’ve got experience with using photoshop. You’ll be based in Essex, and it’ll be a full time position. WEBINAR: HOW TO MEASURE INFLUENCER MARKETING – CURE MEDIA

If you’re looking to attend some events to clue you up on how marketing is working in the modern world, this one’s for you. The main lessons will be how to identify significant KPIs to measure, what role influencer marketing actually plays in the buyers journey, and so much more. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT INTERNSHIP PROGRAM – AMAZON

Amazon are on their hunt for their intern, to help in one of their main sectors, whether this be prime, amazon fresh, or one of their many other areas. You’ll be based in London, and your responsibilities will mainly involve supporting the vendor managers, in whichever section you’re placed in. You’ll build a profile of customer pain points, and how they can be improved by Amazon. You’ll also identify target accounts using market data and industry intelligence, and get to grips with the advertising needed for the Amazon culture. This is an opportunity for degrees with a year in industry. In terms of skills, you’ll need strong communication presentation skills. STUDENT ENTREPRENEURS GRANT – THE CROWN UK FUND

The CROWN UK Fund was launched by Dove, and is currently looking to give out grants of up to £20,000 during 2021, to black-led grassroots organisations. If you’re a student entrepreneur, or are involved in any of these initiatives, this is a great opportunity to get involved with. The funding must go to help create change in the lives of Black girls and women, and address one of the following issues: Appearance based prejudice, empowerment, individual growth and success, or mentorship. PRODUCTION TRAINING SCHEME – CHANNEL 4

This is an entry level opportunity for people who are passionate about getting into the TV industry. Channel 4 are offering paid 12 month internships, across the UK. You don’t have to have a degree in Film and Television, but they also want to see people apply who’ve got short-term experience in the industry. If successful, you’ll receive a month training, before going into a selected area to start your placement. The internship starts in May 2021, and applications close on the 29th of January 2021. LAW ESSAY COMPETITION – NATIONAL ACCIDENT HELPLINE

National Accident Helpline are running a law essay competition, for a chance to win a £2,0000 price fund and a mentoring session with their experienced in-house lawyers. To enter, you’ll need to write an essay response to one of their chosen questions. It’s 650 words in length, and you’ve got until the 26th of February 2021 to submit it.
